The Olla slippers, designed by Anne-Michelle Phelan and made in Nomadnoos Smooth Sartuul sheep yarn, are fun and warm. They are part of the Nomadknit book, which is published by Amirisu and can be purchased here. They are constructed toe-up. The toe and foot are worked in rows that are joined with a slip stitch before turning. The sole of the slipper is worked in single crochet, and the top of the slipper is worked in loop stitch. Loop stitches are made on the back of your work.
The sample in the photos shown is in the color Sartuul my bag, and you need five skeins for the Olla slipper.
Choose the colour you like most and enjoy the knitting!
Description
The Soft and warm Olla slippers, made in our Smooth Sartuul sheep yarn in the Aran weight, comes from the Sartuul sheep, a specific Mongolian breed that only lives in the Zavhkan province in Mongolia. Nomads selected the most delicate fibres, washing and carding them before hand-spun by women in Nepal.
When you receive your yarn, look at the square label to see who spun it!
