The Banana & Sheep Sartuul Sheep sweater kit is a soft and lightweight knitting project designed by Eri Shimizu. Although the sweater has a generous and cozy silhouette, the fabric remains airy and fluid thanks to the light texture created by holding the yarn double throughout the project.
Worked seamlessly from the top down, Banana & Sheep combines minimalist lines with subtle texture details. First, the front and back are knitted separately before being joined in the round at the underarm. Afterwards, the sleeves are picked up directly around the arm opening, creating a clean and elegant construction with very little finishing required.
A soft wool sweater knitting kit
Knitted with our Nomadnoos Sartuul Sheep yarn, the sweater develops a beautifully soft and slightly brushed texture with natural warmth and movement. At the same time, the airy construction keeps the garment light and comfortable to wear.
The design features elegant i-cord finishing at the neckline and hem, which gives the sweater a refined and modern look. Furthermore, the relaxed boxy fit makes it ideal for layering during colder seasons.
Sartuul Sheep yarn
Our Sartuul Sheep yarn is spun from Mongolian wool and reflects the raw beauty of natural fibres and traditional nomadic craftsmanship. The yarn creates a fabric that feels warm yet breathable, while also highlighting the delicate texture pattern developed throughout the sweater.
Because the yarn is held double, the finished knit gains additional softness and depth without becoming heavy.
The kit contains the required quantity of Sartuul Sheep yarn in your selected colourway, depending on the chosen size. However, the knitting pattern is sold separately by Eri Shimizu.
