Altai is a tube scarf knitted in the round in stranded colourwork, stripes, and colour blocks. The stranded colourwork design is inspired by the shapes of mountains, streams, river rocks, and trees. Stripes and colour blocks create blending and layers inspired by atmospheric mist and dust over vast lands.

This beautiful scarf is part of the Amirisu book called Nomadknits and is 82 1⁄2” inches/ 210 cm long.

Our beautiful yarns come from the soft undercoat of the  Mongolian Bactrian Camel, which is hand-combed by Mongolian nomadic herders.
